Very good practice book, with lots of problems and clear answers which show you every step. However, if you need some explanation as to why a problem is solved a certain way, or you want some explanation about rules, you will need to use this book with another book, like Algebra 2 for Dummies.One big issue I had was that some of the problems have the exact same numbers in them, with only half the equation different from the previous problem. This makes some of the work too routine to get the variety needed for thorough learning to take place.Also, some of the practice problems are just too easy, and there are too many repeats of the easy ones. After practicing with this book (especially logarithms, exponential functions)and then trying to do hard test questions of similar problems, I realized how easy and routine some of the practice problems are in some sections. This must be changed in the future!! Therefore I gave it only 4 stars, and probably should have given it only 3 for this. However there is a lot of good in this cheap book so 3 seemed a bit too low. These books are good just to have some extra problems to work on, but don't expect good answers or complete explanations. There are numerous wrong answers in the book, and the questions for which there are correct answers there is not much of an explanation at all. Also some of the vital information between the algebra 2 workbook and this book is different. For example in the algebra 2 workbook it states the standard form of a parabola is (y-k)^2=4a(x-h), however in the problem book it states the standard form of a parabola is (y-k)=a(x-h)^2. The disparities between the books, the sometimes wrong answers, and the lack of adequate explanation in both sometimes lead me to being more confused than before. Either buy a different book for algebra 2 or tell these "dummies" to proofread their books before printing them.
